Xmas Party

It's all over, red rover. I'M FINISHED!!!! Its the end of an era. After 3 years of kindergarten, 6 years of primary school, 6 years of high school and 5 years at university it all came down to a 15 minute oral exam on Human Rights and International Development. Too easy, really. I've been the queen of bs-ing about globalisation & economic growth etc since Yr 12 so its not hard to throw in some babble about poverty, human rights & development to get a good grade. But who cares? The beautiful thing about exchange is that you just need to pass...and I did, and now its over!

Last Friday we had our little Julefrokost at Rosa's place. I'll let the photos do the talking.

Good Times =)

The People

I will miss all you beautiful people..

We pledge allegiance to the Kingdom of Denmark..say what?!

Strike a pose. The best I could get out of a "hip-hop dance group pose" request.

Foozball..table soccer..whatever its called..its definitely an international sport

Hrmm..no one told me about the black and blue coloured party theme..

Rosa, Jens Christian (another JC!) and Rosa's little sister, Magarida

The Food

Russian salad (?) and trifle which I helped make!

Thank the Lord for Italian food - risotto and lasagne

Candles are all you need to make it all hyggeligt

Jurek, the crazy Polishman

Tuck in boys!

Philipp has just told Sarah that he has never heard of the 2000 Sydney Olympic song and she is appalled!

The Presents

Its time to exchange our our invisible friend presents! In Australia we call it a secret santa or kris kringle, but this time its an invisible friend! =)

Oh look, Santa arrives to specially to handout the invisible friend presents. Co-incidentally Philipp is missing when Santa arrives...strange that..

Santa brings Tristan alcohol..woohoo!

Florian is like a 5 yr old child in a candy store; Dani is thrilled with her bath and shower set

Sarah, Whats in the box, whats in the box today?; Jurek is like a 5 yr old child in a toy store..LEGO!

Julien receives a very tricky puzzle..too intellectual for me!; My invisible friend gave me a small compass..I think its because I'm always "lost" hehe..nah its very sweet and it shall come in very handy on my last month of travels =)

Magarida receives a beautiful necklace from Santa; Santiago scores sexy Christmas underwear

Cute black earmuffs for Rosa; Robert receives a bicycle pump..its what every young Danish boy wishes for every Xmas

Anne lands a sleek scandinavian design bottle opener; Olivier is thrilled with his danish coffee and coffee mug

Claudia receives a cute little Danish pig inside a beautiful box; Santa gets an invisible present too..a Japansk phrase book - Arigato!

The two kids sit in the children's corner and put together the Lego.

The Partying

And then its party time! SKAL! Danish schnapps..urgh..nasty!

I'm always the butt of all jokes at Christmas time but hey after all these years I'm used to it..hohoho!

Random Danish people crashing our party with their cool moves on the dance floor..

Go Sare! Haha I love this photo =)

Handcuffs? Tattoos? Hrmm..the rest of the photos after that aren't publish-able on this blog sorry hehe..*Hi Mum!* =P

Looks like an awesome Christmas party.

So cute Becky and Tom (our little cousins who are 3 and 5) were over on the weekend talking about how Sarah was close to Santa and the Reindeer in the North Pole.

Love Ellen.
